“The Speed of Trust” by Covey – Great New Book

As you know, I am an avid reader. Once in a great while, a must-read book comes out that I feel you won’t want to miss. The Speed of Trust by Stephen M. R. Covey is one of those books. I met Stephen at a transformational leadership council and loved his presentation. I highly recommend his book. Larry King says, “This book can change lives…” I agree. The Speed of Trust is an important book and has received overwhelmingly positive reactions. Following are several that will interest you.

The Speed of Trust was named by BusinessWeek as one of the top five career books of 2006. The New York Times called Stephen M. R. Covey the next potential business sage and guru, citing The Speed of Trust as “the most intriguing business book of fall 2006.” USA Today said, “Vital to good business…Covey…has a finger on the pulse of something important.”

Tony Robbins said: “Covey expertly illuminates the connections between credibility and productivity in a way that will forever change your perception of trust.”

Ken Blanchard said: “The Speed of Trust is a must-read for all of us.”

John Gray, Ph.D., Author of Men Are from Mars, Women are From Venus, said: “Those relationships that will stand the test of time are built upon a foundation of enduring trust. Covey gives us the blueprint for learning how to apply this principle with the important people in our lives.”

I was particularly intrigued by Seth Godin‘s comment: “Why are you reading the blurbs on this book? Simple, because you trust (a few of) us. Trust drives everything in our non-branded, too fast world. So, trust this: This is an important book. The younger Covey has written a book that matters.”

I was also impressed to see that The Speed of Trust met the strict scrutiny to be endorsed by CEOs of multiple leading companies; including; Dell Computer, Jet Blue, Campbell Soup, Marriott International, Sbarro, EDS, DBS Bank Ltd., Huntsman International, Ernst & Young, and the former CEOs of TORO, Ritz Carlton Hotels, Hard Rock Café, Madison Square Garden, and Singapore Airlines.

Bottom-line: you must read this book!

Trust is a fundamental component of success and stands alongside every other aspect of personal & professional application.
