Wow! Thanks for sharing this John. I never ceased to be amazed by the human body, and every single day I learn something new about ME and how I work! How can anyone want to hurt (or allow to be hurt) their own bodies through neglect, smoking, drugs, obesity or self-imposed mental anguish? The better we care for our physical bodies, the better it can perform those 6 trillion things it has to do each day!! Jennifer |

It gives me chills when I hear about the wonders of God and the universe he so lovingly created. Deepak Chopra has the gift of expressing them so wonderfully. |

Humanity and all it embodies, is a wonder to behold. How often do we take for granted who we are and what we have in our lives? Often sports men and women who earn millions of dollars and those in business, or who have no faith in their own abilities or spiritual and moral fortitude and who through circumstance, are far removed from the everyday traumas and dramas of life, often lose sight of how magnificent the body is and how exceptional is the individual. Every day we should step from the shadow of mediocrity into the sunlight of opportunity and give thanks for everything we have, no matter how seemingly minute. Gratitude is an incredibly empowering tool and it truly opens doors which otherwise remain shut. When the heart and the mind work in unison, we are truly unstoppable as individuals. If we can think it, then we can do, have and be it. The only shackle to achievement is one’s absence of self-belief, drive, compassion, gratitude and understanding of what we hold in our hands, our hearts and our minds. I wish everyone a wonderful, safe bright and profound Christmas. For those who do not celebrate, have a safe, happy and healthy holiday break. May we all look forward to an incredibly prosperous 2008 and beyond. Remember, the truly important thing in our lives is the faith we have in ourselves and our ability. May your God bless and keep you and may you always have faith in who you are and the live you lead. Kieran |

In chiropractic, we call that Innate Intelligence. The power that made the body, heals the body (and not just back pain). Yet because it is an antithetical paradigm to the mechanistic approach to medicine, chiropractors have always been on the outside looking in. Maybe via the grass roots, “the winds are a changing”. The Medical profession is the leading cause of death (750,000 people/year)in the USA. That’s a costly status quo. |

It’s gratifying to see not only that such positive things happen, but that they are being REPORTED. |

I have to feel sorry for people like Tracii???? I cannot even imagine how someone can become so bitter and twisted in the face of what can only be described as overwhelming evidence in support of the strength and power of ‘the self’. For your information my dear, the term ‘wowser’ was invented by John Norton to describe someone who is considered to be a prudish teetotaller, a killjoy and a winger. Gosh, that can only describe someone who constantly stands on the safety of the sidelines and makes very lop-sided and completely unsupported judgments of others who are constantly striving for success and abundance in their lives. Does that sound like someone you know? K |

Actually, Kieran, I have to pull you up there. The word ‘wowser’ was claimed by John Norton as the first person to use the word in print. The word itself existed in Britain discourse well before 1899 and meant “to whinge or complain.” Norton’s version was, naturally, more verbose: “A pernickety kind of person, always objecting to everybody else who does not agree with him; he will interfere with the pleasures and enjoyments of others; thinks that he alone has the right conception of right conduct, and a monopoly of the narrow way to paradise.” In good nature, Toowoomba, Qld - Australia |

Thank you Grace. You are of course correct in what you write. My spray was rather tongue in cheek, without moving to any formal redress for what I considered to be an unnecessary, ill-informed, monosyllabic swipe at those who are seeking to improve their lives. My comment was I agree rather loquacious (as they often are), but nevertheless constructive (with a spelling error I concur) and successful, in its aim to invoke constructive dialogue. My comments were written more as fuel for thought rather than as a rebuke for what I considered a simple and irrational defamation of those who are seeking to improve their lives. It was at its best, rather nugatory in its presentation. Comments such as these of which we now write, whilst often quite ill informed, can at times prove to be somewhat pernicious in their affect on those who constantly strive for personal and professional growth and seek guidance through informed websites such as this presented by John. The fact that Tracii is reading the blogs, indicates a degree of hope for her yet! I trust your weather is being kind to you: Beautiful one day – perfect the next!! Kieran |
