Do you set goals based on how much money you think you can make or based on what you have done in the past?
Many people never reach their goals because they do not understand a few small key factors I reveal in this two part video blog.
Enjoy and make all your dreams come true!
Part two will be out Monday.

I recently interviewed an amazing man about achieving success and I have that interview for you as a gift.
You may know him from his numerous New York Times Best Sellers including mega Best Seller Swim with the Sharks Without Getting Eaten Alive.
His name….Harvey MacKay. This interview will open your eyes to achieving success in your life and if you happen to be looking for a new job, there will be pearls of wisdom here as we also discuss his newest book “Use Your Head to Get Your Foot in The Door”.

In a recent lottery, the lottery being one of the quickest ways for how to become a millionaire, a West Virginia man won $317 million in the Powerball lottery. Now, did you know that the odds of winning this lottery are just over 120 million: 1?
Yes, those are pretty steep odds. However, winning the lottery is really a piece of cake in comparison to the odds of you being born again. When your parents decided to stop procrastinating, you become the product of 23 chromosomes from your mother and 23 chromosomes from your father.
Geneticists have determined that the odds of your parents having another child just like you are 10 to the 2 billionth powers: 1. Is doesn’t take any special coaching or mentoring to know right away these odds are astronomical.
It would take you 75 years working day and night just to write out this number by hand.
With all of that said, it sometimes makes me wonder why so many people are focused on how to become a millionaire. Instead, we should focus on being the best person we can be, we should stop procrastinating, and we should go out to leave a positive and lasting impression for someone or something.
The bottom line is that there will never be another you. You are one-of-a-kind.
Act like yourself. Be yourself. And live the life only you were meant to live.
To You Having It All,
John Assaraf

John, Becoming the best I can be has been my focus for many many years. When I started focussing on that, my life became fuller and richer. Maybe not financially, but spiritually.
Thanks for the inspiring thoughts. I hope the message helps people to change their focus.
Connie
Thanks. I needed this today!
Outside of having enough financial security to live, this is the REAL DEAL, being happy enjoying life and laughter with those whom we LOVE…YAAAY.
Being yourself is the most prospering act because you do what you’re here to do, not what you think others want you to do. Every form has a specific function in the universe, including you. Be yourself and you find your function. Thanks for sharing John! RB
We are so special and should celibrate our birthday every single day even they call us a cracked pot !!
An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.
But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.
‘I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.’
The old woman smiled, ‘Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side?’
‘That’s because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.’For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table.
Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.’
Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it’s the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.
You’ve just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.SO, to all of my cracked pot friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!
John,
This is true, how many really live their life on purpose. Including myself in this, always searching for clearer alignment in my purpose.
That’s why I really like this quote!
“You are designed, built and structured for greatness. No other species on the planet has the ability to create, change and improve their circumstances like you. You were born for greatness. I’m not special. I am not unique.” ~Woody Woodward.
Always grateful

You may find this hard to believe… but I swear it’s true. Given the opportunity to learn what it takes to become a millionaire… and I’m talking about a step-by-step, take-you-by-the-hand, tell-you-exactly-what –to-do type of program… here is what 100 people would actually do.
Twenty percent (20 people) will have “excusitis” right off the bat and start naming every reason under the sun why they can’t participate. Why? They simply don’t believe it’s possible for them to accomplish this type of result… no matter what you say or do. So to justify their decision logically, (and give themselves permission to fail like they always do), they come up with excuses why they just can’t find the time, the energy, the money, the motivation, etc) to commit to taking the actions that would produce this result. Let’s face it… these people are in a self-imposed mental prison and will remain there for their entire lives.
Of the 80 people remaining, twenty percent of them (16 people) will make an initial attempt to learn and apply the information for about two weeks… and then decide “it’s just too big of a commitment for me right now.” Then they’re gone. These are the ones that change is just too much trouble. They simply “feel” better reverting back to their old ways of thinking and acting. These are the people who claim that the timing just wasn’t right)
Of the 64 people who remain…
32 people (or 50%) will give up half way through the program (or earlier). They usually last around the 3-6 month mark.
These people really do want to succeed… and actually have what it takes to succeed, but they tend to think that effort is all that’s required… NOT results.
What they fail to understand is that hard work is only part of the recipe to becoming financially free. You must also focus on the right things in the right order.
Now pay close attention to the next part….
Of the 32 people remaining – 90% will fail because they decided to do it their way… or a different way. (After all, their way is better, right. After all, they have succeeded in other areas of their lives but most have struggled financially. These folks have this idea that because they are smart, they can also be rich
When this program doesn’t work for them, they do one of the following…
1- Blame someone else because IT doesn’t work
2- Look for another book, CD, DVD, course, teacher or system (the “magic pill”)
3- Realize it was them… not the system, and they start over
These people prefer to be right than rich. These people have hope… and they’re easy to help… especially after they’ve tried it their way a few times and failed.
So, with the 100 great loving, kind smart individuals that we started with, we’re now left with a whopping total of 3 people.
3% of the total population actually has what it takes to LISTEN, LEARN, APPLY and MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. 3% will check their egos at the door and their “I know a better way attitude.”
With a few small adjustments, these people can really have it all and be rich in every area of their lives.
What about you? Are you ready to HAVE IT ALL? Are you ready to put your ego aside? Are you ready to allow someone who has done this over and over, again and again and knows the formula for success to guide you and show you how to do it “for yourself?”
LIFE IS ALL ABOUT COMMITMENT VS INTEREST
Committed people MAKE things happen.
Interested people watch it happen to those who are committed.
If you are committed to being rich in every area of your life, here is a road map to earning One Million Dollars or more a year! Enjoy!!

Valerie LoveAloha John,
Thank you so much for sharing such valuable information with all of us. We appreciate all that you do and everything you share. I love the statistics in your article and it really allows us to “take a hard look” at ourselves.
Much love & aloha,Kellie

What happened to One Coach?
thanks John A SYSTEM or road map is helpfull to see were to go
I’m learning to have like-minded people, a system, tools and mentors. I have what it takes to LISTEN, LEARN, APPLY & MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. WATCH for NYC Healthy Chick.
Interesting statistics but I certainly believe it as I am one of those who give it a go for a while, then give up somewhere along the track. I am sick of this vicious cycle so I am doing everything in my power to change that. I am studying and have started a business and now my reputation is on the line as I have put myself out there, so the only way is up. Thank you John for this great insight – it is so very true. If we do not commit – and TRULY commit all that we have, all that we are, even if we have to put our egos on the line, we cannot truly succeed & be rewarded as we dream about. We certainly need to give permission to allow ourselves to push all the boundries & receive the rewards that come with all the hard work without feeling guilty – we deserve it. Love your work John – keep inspiring!

waking up to rhyme or reason when all it seems to be is rhyme or reason, to achieve to the goal of daily breath can be the strongest and most required goal, long before finance, one must be able to breath a breath of JOy,,,,,, goal setting can be a second to second experience,,,, long term plan, short term goal,,,,

Diego.Amazing statistics here, John. As a business coach like you, I have come across all those “excuse” categories throughout the years, too. Few people are smart enough to stay humble and open from an early age, for others it takes most of their lives and they may still not get there. Helping those who are stuck in their self imposed prisons is one of our big challenges and isn’t it terrific when we can walk them out of darkness and into the light – it can only get better from there. Thank you for an encouraging post reminding us what it takes to enjoy a successful life.

This–the statistics– sounds very interesting, John. You start with a hundred ambitious, good hearted people and end up with just 3 (3%)?
Its unbelievable but makes sense!

I love the Olympics for many reasons. The sheer fun, joy and spirit we get to participate in while watching the athletes, their stories, their families, and the highs and lows makes for a great way to invest time in observing others pursue their goals and dreams. Partly for their country, mostly for themselves.
I can’t help but ask myself what these athletes did to prepare for the Olympics. What physical workouts, diets, practice and dreaming did they do? What doubts, fears anxieties, lack of confidence, certainties and feelings did they experience on their journey to Vancouver and, mostly, what did they do to overcome these feelings that each one of us has at one time or another in pursuit of our goals and dreams?
The Olympics I believe, gives us a chance to live vicariously through the participants be it athlete or coach, spectator or employee. In asking myself these questions and watching the games, I realized that I want to be on the field playing my heart out regardless of whether I win or lose. What about you? Do you want to be playing or watching? Cheering or checking? Feeling the exhilaration of the game on the track or from the stands?
Either way, life is a game that you can either play or watch, hope or do, enjoy or not. It’s your choice. Either way, the game is very short when you are playing full out or very long when all you do is find what’s wrong with it.
As I observed the games, I felt a sense of pride and joy and a sense of sadness. In every sporting event someone won the gold, silver or bronze. Many of the athletes didn’t win a medal. Were they losers? I prefer to think of all of them as winners, just in varying degrees based on their own set of circumstances.
If they showed up, did their best and felt and knew that they did…isn’t that a win? I say yes!
Life is not about winning medals. Life is about showing up ready to play full out and doing the best YOU can do. Competition, helps each of us see what is possible by pushing or pulling us to meet our potential and our goals.
Every one of the athletes came to the Olympic games with a goal. A goal that they committed to, trained for physically and mentally and then went after with all their will.
What are your goals? Have you committed to them and are you playing full out? Like the Olympic games, your flame will burn out. My hope and wish for you is that you have no more game left in you because you left it all on the field, doing and knowing you did your very best!
If you want a little extra help to achieve your goals- check out my Having it All home study program at http://johnassaraf.com/hia

NOT not not the ones who make the rules and know how to apply the rules control the masses and make the money (unless you are in the know not) that`s why only 1% control the mass of money and people comsumption go figure KIM Power
Gisele i believe your thoughts control the rules or at least your acceptance of your pre conceptions of your uncontrolled thoughts,,,,, ?!
very confusing ?
play full out buy my program to make money and everyone can make all the money they want? come on not everybody is going to make all the money they want? 5% of people in the world control all the money, 40% of us citizen are on food stamps, nearly 25% unemployment in us, food shortages all over the world, 50% of people worldwide make $700 US per year, yes PER YEAR, 80% of olympic athletes come from higher classes (the’re having fun with the backing of mom and dad), let`s put things into perspective Mr. Assaraf !
Who is making the money the bankers, real estate moguls and rich who control the rules?
