There is a tale about these two shoe salesmen who travel to a third world country in search of new business opportunities.
One man calls his wife the moment he lands, telling her, “Honey, I’m coming back home. There’s no hope here. Nobody here is wearing shoes, so there’s no one to sell to.” He boards the next flight home.
The second man calls his wife and says, “Honey, you wouldn’t believe what I found here. There is so much opportunity. No one here is wearing shoes. I can sell to the whole country!”
There’s opportunity everywhere. When we have a consciousness of expecting the magic to happen, it will happen. We’ll find the right people, we’ll move in the right circles, we’ll ‘bump’ into the right solutions. It all starts with that opening in the mind.
Are you ready to seize your opportunity? Be part of the Having It All Challenge.

Hey JOhn,
I have no doubt the call was a great success. However, for those of us who live on the other side of the pond, it is difficult to dial in.
Have you thought about a webinar as well, so that those of us who don’t live on the Continental USA, can take part.

Here is a little pop quiz for you. In 1923, who was:
- President of the largest steel company?
- President of the largest gas company?
- President of the New York Stock Exchange?
- The greatest wheat speculator?
- President of the Bank of International Settlement?
- The Great Bear of Wall Street?
These men were considered some of the world’s most successful in their day.
Now, 85 years later, the history book asks us if we know what ultimately became of them.
The answers:
- The president of the largest steel company, Charles Schwab, died a pauper.
- The president of the largest gas company, Edward Hopson, went insane.
- The president of the NYSE, Richard Whitney, was released from prison to die at home.
- The greatest wheat speculator, Arthur Cooger, died abroad, penniless.
- The president of the Bank of International Settlement, shot himself.
- The Great Bear of Wall Street, Cosabee Livermore, also committed suicide.
However, that same year in 1923, the PGA Champion and the winner of the most important golf tournament, the US Open, was Gene Sarazen.
What became of him?
He was healthy and played golf until he was 92, died in 1999 at the age of 95 and… he was financially secure at the time of his death.
So what’s the purpose of this little tale? Is it to play golf until you are 92? The answer is… only if that’s your passion.
The purpose of this message is to invite you to the Having It All Challenge and to live life on your own terms.
In the next several weeks, I am choosing a group of individuals who will personally be mentored by me and some of my world renowned friends on the art and science of Having It All. Life is too short to settle for less than your full potential.
And I am certain that I have the answers you need to live your life in total abundance with great health, wealth, relationships and a spiritual connection like you’ve never experienced before.
On Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 5 p.m. (Pacific), I’ll be giving people from around the world an opportunity to qualify for this exclusive six-month program that will have us working together to create the life of your dreams. All you need to do is RSVP and be on the 35-45 minute call.
I will share all the details you need to make a decision. And to determine if this is right for you and if you qualify.
To you Having It All,
John

Take any group of 100 people at the start of their business or working career and follow them for 40-50 years until they reach retirement: Here’s what you’ll find, according to the Social Security Administration:
- Only 1 will end up rich
- 4 will be financially comfortable
- 5 will have to continue to work because they have to
- 36 will be dead
- 54 will be dead broke and have to depend on the government, friends, family or charity to survive
I know it’s an odd question, but which one will you be (or are you already)?
What is the real difference between these people?
Some have college degrees and others have little or no education.
There are a few millionaires who were born wealthy, and there are many who do it on their own, the old fashioned way — they earn it.
There are millionaires in every country in the world, regardless of location or circumstances.
The truly wealthy people, those who have money, health, great relationships and a spiritual connection, all have one thing in common:
They understand that in order to achieve what they want, they must learn to think and act in certain ways.
If you are ready to have more of everything in your life right now, I can show you the fastest and easiest way to get there.
Join me for a great call on Wednesday, August 20 where I will share with you exactly what you need to know and what you need to do to have the life of your dreams…
To your success!
John

Hi, John,
I have heard statistics similar to the ones in your blog. Now is the time to start changing them. Thanks again, and I plan to be on that call August 20th. Looking forward to speaking with you.

The ideas you suggest are so far from what society has been telling us for centuries. But the truth is that one’s place in life does come from their over all state of mind. In my search for knowledge, I have found that a large number of the most successful people in history started from nothing. They had a desire, an idea that would be realized no matter what. All they did was to tell themselves that it would be so no matter what. The main contributor to their success was persistence. “If you tell yourself you can’t then you won’t. If you tell yourself you can, then you will”

Yes, the post from Zachery Davis above is right on! Attitude and persistence are two of the most important keys to success. And so is “integrity.” Because the Universe (God) will not bless those who lie, cheat and steal.
-
Hey John,
From a spiritual point of view, I believe everyone deserves to be rich. In my mind, that’s an undisputed fact. Those who are rich and abundant in all aspects of their lives and remain that way, truly deserve to be so, because of the lives they lead, the plan they have and the action they take.
The Universe has a way of rewarding those who are deserving, whilst those who make the decision to pursue another path, do so at their own peril. It remains a conscious decision, for reasons best known to the individual (often they act in a way which they don’t truly understand, simply because it’s the path of least resistance).
When a person leads a live of denial, they are creating their own existence.
Thinking and acting in a certain way is THE ONLY WAY to gain peace of mind, success, abundance and great riches in all aspects of one’s life.
Well said amigo.
Good fortune,
Kieran

Hi friends,
The other day I was watching a short movie called Finish Strong, and I was reminded of the story of Wilma Rudolf.
Wilma Rudolf was born July 23, 1940 into a large family of 22 in Clarksville, Tennessee. Growing up in a community parted by racial discrimination, Wilma never received proper medical attention as a child. She was diagnosed with one illness after another: measles, mumps, scarlet fever, chicken pox and double pneumonia. Until finally she was diagnosed with polio, a crippling disease that had no cure and doctors told her mother that Wilma would never walk.
Wilma’s mother drove her to be treated twice a week at Meharry Hospital, the black medical college in Nashville, even though it was 50 miles away and the family was strapped for funds. After 2 years, Wilma was able to walk with the aid of metal leg braces and by the age of 12 she could walk normally with no assistance. It was then that she decided to become an athlete.
“My mother taught me very early to believe I could achieve any accomplishment I wanted to. The first was to walk without braces,” said Wilma. She would go on to win three gold medals in a single Olympics and be placed in the Olympics Hall of Fame.
Amazing stories like this remind me of how fortunate I have been in life and proves that with a mindset for success and a will to succeed anything can be accomplished. Finish Strong is about three minutes long, but it will leave you inspired and anxious to achieve your goals.

Every single one of us no matter what the circumstance, can reach beyond the normal expectations we have and achieve wonderful, unbelievable, inspirational feats of creation. “Have I not told you that ye are gods” We all have direct access to the creative power of the universe. The only thing there is to do is let go of our limiting ideas and harness our birthright.

Achieving wealth means acquiring money – there’s no doubt about that. But to me, true wealth is a total package of fulfillment and happiness. It includes:
- Complete financial security
- Loving relationships with your significant other, friends and family
- Robust health, so that you can do what you want to do
- A spiritual connection to the universe
Picture all of that for yourself!
And after you create that mental picture of true wealth in your life… commit to yourself that it is really achievable…
If you are able to do that, and truly believe it, you may qualify for an exciting program I’ve created. It’s called the Having It All Challenge, and here’s how it works:
I am going to choose a select number of individuals who really want to manifest true wealth in their lives… and I am going to personally mentor them in a group setting.
As you may know, my True North is to love, inspire and serve others. This means that I:
- Live creatively, always pushing the envelope
- Challenge others to live life to their fullest potential
- Surround myself with healthy, happy people who are also striving for the best
The Having It All Challenge meets these criteria for me, and I’d love to have you join me. But because my time is limited, this is a very exclusive program.
A few people with strong commitments to success will be selected to meet online, on the phone, and ultimately in person, for the regular, real-time personal interaction that makes this format so much more powerful than any book, film, CD, or one-time seminar.
I’m really excited about the Having It All Challenge, and I’m eager to gauge your interest and share more details. I’ve set up a conference call for Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 5 p.m. (Pacific) to discuss the program in more detail.
Register for the call now. For a few people, this is going to be the transformational step in life. You’ll be able to leverage all of my experience, and all the passion and energy of your peers in the Having It All community to create true wealth— financial, physical, emotional, and spiritual—in your life, now!
Join me on the call to learn more!
Achieving true wealth is a mountain and we are going to climb it together…
It’s up to you, are you ready for the challenge?

My 1st intro to affirmations began 1976.( still have my note book)It was not until 3 months ago I learned about change the vibration and emotions so that it is in sync with affirmations. Saw J.A. on The Big Idea, went to library for book. Typed up his affirmations. Read and meditate daily. Today a dear friend of mine dropped off $1,000 for me to get my car fixed. It’s not a loan. Money does come when you least expect it! WOW.
Last night I began watching THE SECRET.
WOW.Believing in myself has been one of my biggest obstacles…..I am greatful! -
hi lily- i agree, i think it’s awesome that he’s made this call available for everyone to attend, though the challenge itself sounds like it may have some time, financial, an spiritual commitments. i look forward to finding out!
with love, joanna
-
This sounds like a wonderful opportunity-any chance of it being offered on an evening other than Wednesday some point in the future? That is the one day I have concrete commitments and I hate to miss out!
-
Thank you John for this opportunity. You never cease to amaze me, But then again for one who has a true desire to help and uplift others the only place to come from is one of true generosity and kindness. So it is perfectly predictable that you would give your time to those who are ready to rise up to the occasion and reach for the stars. If you were to Search the term “wealth” you would get thousands of get rich “opportunities”. As you Stated true wealth is so much more than monetary abundance. Thank you John for being The real McCoy.

You should know by now that I am a risk-taker. I have a lot of faith and, truth be told, my risks are pretty calculated. I do my best due diligence before I take any sort of action, and do what I can to eliminate undesired results. Then I charge forward with the belief that no matter what happens, everything will work out fine—or at least the way it was supposed to. I trust one hundred percent of my being to the universe.
If you don’t risk money, you’re not going to make a lot of it. If you don’t risk your emotions, you can’t have a deep, fulfilling relationship. If you don’t risk falling short of your dreams, you’ll never come close to them.
But don’t take a risk while focusing on what could go wrong, because the law of attraction will ensure that what you fear most will happen. If you focus on failure, you can never succeed. If you focus on being hurt by a relationship, you can never feel loved. But don’t take my word for it—test my ideas by starting to take risks. You have been given the unique power to make choices. Every other animal on this planet is confined.
But you have the ability to co-create your own destiny with the powers given to you. To achieve the life of your dreams, you must first have total and undeniable faith in yourself and in God, your Creator, the Universal Intelligence—whatever you choose to call your source. That’s why the greatest risks of all are called leaps of faith.
Are you ready to take a leap of faith to live the life of your dreams? The Having It All program can help you achieve your goals and more.
John

Begin with something rather small-once you conquer that, you’ll be able to do it again when something bigger comes along! I remember my city’s rotten subway system making me late for an Amtrak train trip from NYC to Atlanta. I was told that I could take the next DC train and run the risk of catching that Atlanta train. I was also told that it may be there in the train station or that I might get left behind in DC. My Atlanta hotel room was booked and some friends were picking me up in GA so I took the risk and went. Contact me IF you’re genuinely interested in how the trip turned out ok?

Wonderful, John. Thank you very much for this post. With the business I’m about to launch still on track where I believe and not see yet, that’s what we call faith, right?
I’m quite risky but over the so called “Point of No Return”… The Answer, this Blog, the Momentum Calls and Your HIA Affirmations CD keep me going…
Keep on the good work and thanks again

Yes, I do absolutely know that if you focus on failure, that is exactly what you will get. Have you ever noticed that when you throw a ball, it goes where you are looking? If you are looking at the window you don’t want to break, that is where it will go. However, if you focus on exactly where you DO want the ball to go, that is likely where the ball will end up. And, of course, you can always just hold onto the ball and have it go nowhere. Interesting! Thanks, John Good read, as usual.

John,
As you so rightly point out, one of the greatest problems many face in their life’s journey, is the inherent value of beliefs, with the inability or unwillingness to look beyond them. We are taught specific things by our parents and carers. Our thought patterns are moulded by the life we lead through our childhood, through our teen years into adulthood. By the careful guidance of those who want the best for us and use their own life experience, to see us safely through our junior years. These are often coloured by actions which have always erred on the side of caution, in lives which are otherwise unimpressive, perhaps dull and boring. Simply everyday and uneventful lives – perceived as normal.
If we are not taught to question; to search and seek answers, we never learn to take risks. When you are the result of a family unit, where risk is not considered a reasonable action, you never learn to step out of your comfort zone and simply takes each day as it unfolds.
However, many learn through experience, to find their own way in life and this includes mishaps (I believe there are no mistakes in life, if we learn from them: They are simply lessons) from which they learn lessons and move ever forward. Taking (calculated) risks is an integral part of this growth process.
Those who have faith in themselves and believe in what they’re doing, learn that life offers wonderful opportunities: If these inspirational individuals have the courage to take hold of life and know beyond question they will succeed, it comes to pass. Whilst ever we hold negative ideas, impressions and outcomes in our mind, then we influence the results of our actions. Whatever we think, we believe and subsequently become. That’s an indisputable fact of life. The Universe has a way of rewarding those with the courage and determination to challenge themselves.
If you think you can’t, you surely won’t: If you believe you can, you truly will.
Congratulations on a terrific program. It offers hope for those who need to understand their own magnificence and find the courage to shine.
There is always a reason to succeed: We just have to discover it within ourselves.
Cheers,
Kieran

Great Post John,
One of the best Expert Interviews I have heard you host in regards to risk was with Frank Mckinney.
Ryan

Faith in ourselves is key. I have learned the hard way that focusing on the things you fear or don’t want to happen will surely bring those thing right to your door. We all have immense creative power. This power can be unconsciously used to bring negative things in our life or it can be harnessed to bring all of our goals and dreams to fruition. Once this is realized the next step is to realize that our egoic desires aren’t really what we want and will not bring the happiness we truly desire. When we are able to find peace and acceptance within ourselves then we can create the world around us as we wish it to be not because we “need” it to be that way.

Hi friends,
Some of you may not know that a few years ago I came out of retirement to start my newest business venture, called OneCoach. Murray Smith, co-author for my latest New York Times best-seller “The Answer,” and I decided take what we have learned in our years of business experience, and put it to use helping other people achieve their dreams of business success and financial freedom. And it’s working! We have helped small-business owners and entrepreneurs around the world achieve more business, more money, and more life.
I wanted to let you know that OneCoach has a blog too, and you should definitely check it out if you have any interest in achieving success in business. The executive team and I write posts a few times a week that give small-business owners practical tips and tools they need to grow the business of their dreams. We cover a diverse range of topics from marketing and goal achievement, to how to create a mindset for success.
If you want to be a step ahead of your competition you should check out the OneCoach blog!
Here’s a sample post:
This is the first of a series of posts excerpted from a conference call between OneCoach CEO John Assaraf and Tony Rubleski, president of Mind Capture Group and author of Mind Capture: How to Generate New & Repeat Business in the Age of Advertising Overload.
You absolutely must get your company in the mindshare of the consumers and really understand how important that is. You need to be in the forefront of your prospect’s mind. Essentially, you want your prospect to wake up in the middle of the night with a question about your industry, and have your company name and information pop into their mind as the answer.

That’s funny – you could interpret someone who has a lot of shoes as a good sale, too: they love buying shoes so they’ll be an easy sell!
I love this story. I’ve shared it with my sales team. It’s so much more exciting(and productive)to be an optimist!
Great story! It’s all in how you look at things.
John,
Great story. It reminds me of the story of the hunter versus the gatherer.

this is so prfect a reminder …thank u
A great example of the power of perception and a reminder of how we can miss out on fabulous opportunities if we don’t have the right attitude.
in very challenge there are enormous opportunities for unprecedented success: the darker the night the brighter the light
“And He said to them, “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.
Matthew 17:20 NASB” …. Thank you John and God Bless you
Yes John it’s a great story! It’s also the difference between being a pessimist and a optimist…..you can see the glass as being half full or half empty….thanks again
This is great! In my business as a chiropractor this translates easy for me….everyone has a spine!
Well done John… most people miss opportunities due to ‘old world programing’ you are leading people to ‘the real potential’ Thank you!
Dear John, this is very true. It all begins and ends with the person. Not the circumstances. With your permission, I will share this story with my 12-years old son. Regards,
Realy wonderful!sometimes uniq opportunities are found where we don`t expect them and may even be ignored. That would be a pitty.
Thoughts and attitudes are powerful!
A great story. Reminds me of another one:
Two brothers grew from a poor family with a drunk for father. One grew to be a bum like his father while another became an executive CEO of a large organisation. Both were interviewed separately on their stste. One said “My father was a drunken bum so I saw him all along and also became like him.” The successful one said the same thing “My father was a drunken bum, I saw him all along and didn’t want to be like him.”
All a matter of your perspective.
