Tune in to Larry King Live tonight to see me!

Here’s what I’ll be talking about (you can share this with your friends, family, blog, etc.):

The economy is struggling, mortgage lenders are going under, the foreclosure rate is going sky high, and no one knows what’s next.

What do you do if you’re about to lose the roof over your head?

OneCoach CEO John Assaraf will be among the guests addressing that question on Larry King Live, tonight, July 30 at 6 p.m. Pacific (9 p.m. Eastern). Tune in to hear John’s perspective on how to keep the right mindset now amidst so much gloom and doom.

You can send questions to John and other guests by e-mail or video at the Larry King Live site here.

I hope you get a chance to tune in!

Steering Through Uncharted Waters

Long ago I read about a study on goal setting, which revealed that the number one reason most people don’t write down their goals is fear of not achieving them. The best acronym I’ve ever heard for fear is (F)alse (E)motions (A)ppearing (R)eal.

Don’t let fear take you off course before you’ve even left the harbor!

It’s very easy—and normal—for a captain to get scared when entering uncharted waters. But this is your life—your ship—and if you want to get to your destination, you must sail on. When we’re caught in life’s storm, fear sets in if we don’t know how to handle inclement weather. Great captains learn to chart their course and prepare as best as they can for the storms. They learn to use the wind to fill the sails, not destroy them. You can learn to be a great captain of yourself. It will take time and effort, but, honestly, no more time and effort than living a mediocre life. It’s up to you.

For you to make headway in your journey, you must be totally honest about where you are today. It serves no purpose to lie to yourself about where you currently are. You must understand that where you are now is only the result of past thinking and planning (or lack of either or both). That’s why I have you complete the True North exercise in my program, Having It All. The exercise helps you assess your physical, mental, and spiritual health to reach greatness in living the life of your dreams.

You can achieve new results if they are carefully thought through and monitored so your outcome is consistent with your desires and dreams. So what are you waiting for—anchors away!

A question wonders me and that is I want only happy experiences in my life and while I wish for some worldly stuffs, it ultimately ends up giving more dis-satisfaction and more greeds.
I seek the love of divine and prays for peace and bliss. Isn’t it a great way to awakening ?

Acquire a Mentor to Reach Your Dreams

A part of the goal-setting process that many people struggle with is creating action plans. One way to conquer this obstacle before it even arises is to get a mentor. I’ve had many–I can’t imagine being as successful as I have been without my mentors guiding me.

Identify Your Role Model

If you’ve always wanted to be a professional juggler, but have no idea of where to start with your action plan, find information about a successful professional juggler or two in your area. They will be your role models. There’s someone who dominates in every field, so you always have access to people who are excelling at something at which you would like to excel. Find out what they do and how they do it, then copy what you need, making it your own by adding your own personal twist or genius to it.

Don’t be afraid to ask–after all, imagine how flattered you would feel if someone asked you to be a mentor (and when you start accomplishing your goals, someone might just do that)!

Asking for a Mentor

Once you’ve identified some role models and selected one whom you would like as a mentor, you ask him or her. It’s that simple. “Would you be willing to mentor me?”

Of course, you should let your mentor know why such a relationship would benefit him or her, as well. Make sure you propose to meet at his or her office, and volunteer your talents in some way, such as aiding with a pet project, so that you are helping in return. If you’ve done enough research on your prospective mentor, you should be able to come up with a creative way to help him or her that also demonstrates your familiarity with their work.

Following is a sample conversation you can alter to suit your own personality.

“I want to accomplish ____________, and I respect the results you’ve produced in your life. Would you be willing to help by meeting with me once a week so I can learn from your achievements? I’d like to make it worth your while by ____________. Does a mentor relationship with me sound like something you’d enjoy?”

Don’t rush this process, and make sure you have a few back-up role models to ask in case your first choice(s) are too busy to help.

    Hi Lily,

Congratulations: You have taken the first step to realise your future.

In addition to the dream, which remains so if nothing is done, is to create your vision and take action, with a real drive and determination.

Nothing will occur if you do not consciously step out and grasp opportunities as they arise. It is called affirmative action.

If you stand on the side of the road with your brief case open, it won’t fill with money and opportunities unless you do something to make it happen.

You have taken the steps necessary and remember that any positive action is a step forward and never look back with regret. The view is always clearer, brighter and more colourful from the front.

Everything happens for a reason and with your wonderful mindset, you are making things happen in your life. Be proud of yourself and the direction in which you’re travelling.

I look forward to your successes in the very near future.

    Well done,

    Hi John,

I am not sure if you will even read this. For a few years now I have been asking others to help. I have read and heard many of you teach to “Ask” so I have been. Only to keep getting the door closed in my face. I even found out what others need and I offer and do that first before I ask and still nothing. Everyone into days world is busy and too busy to take on another person. So are you willing to give me a few minutes of your time? I will in return help others who come to me for I know what it feels like to not have someone to help you. I will use my voice to raise others in spirit and higher consciousness. And, I will personally find out what you need and offer it to you.

    Much love and light
    Carol

  11. KieranNo Gravatar says:

    Hi Carol,

You’re not the only one who has had the door shut in your face and so, I understand your frustration at the constant and seemingly never ending, ‘No’!

I have written several manuscripts, film scripts, television concepts and more recently, a proposal for a tv program for young people (with disabilities and who are disadvantaged). I am having difficulty obtaining support, although some of the many international speakers I’ve approached have kindly provided encouraging letters. They are Brian Tracy, Bob Proctor and Jim Stovall at the present time, whilst others whom I thought according to their teachings would say yes, have not been interested. Some have even wanted me to sign up to programs before they would look at the material (no names and no pack drill).

You have to believe in what you’re doing and have a clear picture of what you want from your life.

As difficult as it is, continue to be upbeat and focused. You must visualise meeting and talking with the person from whom you seek the assistance and I know from personal experience, it will happen.

You must understand that for success to rise up to meet you, it is imperative you believe in what you’re doing and know beyond question it will happen just as you see it.

If you stand on the side of the road with your mouth open, the air won’t simply jump into your lungs unassisted and sustain life. You must breath and that’s the catalyst for an incredible future.

Those breaths are the actions necessary to give life, colour and clarity to your wonderful future. If you take the necessary action and are focused and determined, it will happen.

You have to believe in yourself and your life and build a very strong and supported plan of action. There really is nothing you can’t achieve. Setbacks will occur and obstacles will rise up to meet you. They are simply guide posts, which come into your life as a means to push you in the right direction and as difficult as it might seem, you must remain focused and driven and you will begin to see your future in all its clarity.

Believe you can and you will: Entertain the thought that you can’t and you won’t. It’s as simple as that.

Take care and I know we all have faith in you and await your successes.

    Kind regards,

    Kieran

    John,

I firmly believe each of us is a genius in some aspect of our life.

After all, there are things you do exceedingly well which I do not and conversely, I no doubt have skills which perhaps are not high on your hierarchy of values.

It’s in those areas where we feel the need for support and nurturing that we seek the services of a teacher who has trodden the path we hope to follow and in so doing, we acknowledge our own clear thinking and courage and the assistance at hand.

That small action indicates our willingness to learn and develop and a real eagerness to move forward with momentum, through the support and assistance of special people like yourself, who very often give freely of their time and experience to see others succeed.

I applaud the mentors in life, as much as I congratulate those who have the drive and vision to step out of their comfort zones and seek the advice and assistance necessary to embark on that wonderful path to an abundant and successful future.

We all seek help every day in various areas of our lives – very often subconsciously – and in that action we signal our intention to find solutions to our problems and move forward.

Thanks for your help and assistance and the link you provided is very inspiring.

    Cheers amigo,

    Kieran

Love It or Hate It

Have you ever noticed how there are about as many reactions to an experience on a roller coaster as there are people? One loves it and another is petrified. One is yelling “Woohoo!” and the other is screaming “Oh, no!” One could end up with a belief that roller coasters are scary, while the other person could end up with a belief that roller coasters are exhilarating. Or maybe they brought those beliefs to the ride in the first place.

Different people form opposite beliefs about the same experience all the time. Which beliefs are true? Neither. Or both. The real question to ask yourself is, “Which beliefs will get me where I want to go in life?” Luckily for you, you get to choose for yourself.

When my son Keenan was seven, we were invited to go paragliding in San Diego. I called his mom and left her a message inviting her to join us at the glider port, when we would jump off a cliff harnessed to an instructor.

Can you tell that I’m a more adventurous parent?

His mom came to watch and almost fainted as our son ran off the cliff harnessed to the instructor, the ocean five hundred feet below. It was the first time paragliding for both my son and me, so I didn’t know what to expect and was a little scared myself.

Keenan’s initial belief was, “Wow! This will be so much fun!” After the experience, his positive belief and perception about heights and paragliding were forever ingrained in his mind. His mom’s first thought was that this would be dangerous, but her negative belief was so rattled by our experience that since then she has expressed a slight desire to try it herself sometime.

Some of our beliefs are formed instantly, such as when a significant emotional experience occurs, while others are formed over time, after several experiences. What’s important to remember is that beliefs aren’t good or bad; they just are. As you already know, you must understand and evaluate the beliefs you have to determine whether or not they’re serving you and helping you create the life you really want.

Lets continue to create that life of your dreams—by starting with the beliefs that will serve you! You can discover more about how to do this with my Having It All program.

Meditation: Create a Time and Space Just for you

Do you ever feel the need for peace and serenity? Do you take time out of your busy day to reflect on your life and the way you live it?

By setting aside a few moments each day to explore your unconscious mind, you will improve the quality of your day.

It can sometimes be difficult to find time for meditation. In my own life, I had to make meditation my first priority in the morning in order to work it into my schedule. As soon as I wake up, I pile pillows in back of myself in bed and meditate right there—that way, I always have time for it. I can’t imagine starting a day without it.

Some people are quite creative in working meditation into their lives. Creating a quiet space can sometimes be as much of a hurdle as creating time. You could reserve a corner in a room, and make sure that it remains clean and uncluttered so that it is always ready for you. A closet large enough to sit in could become a peaceful meditation hideaway for you, complete with comfortable pillow and decorations. A secluded corner of a garden would also work. Many of those who meditate like to have their personal sacred objects around them—a beloved picture, a favorite candle, a beautiful rug. No matter what appeals to you, you must decide to make room for meditation, every day.

There are many different methods of meditation. Explore all the possibilities and find one that works for you. Every meditation’s objective is to go into the silence. Multiple resources exist—you could consult magazines, books, web sites, religious organizations, seminars, workshops, and meditation/yoga centers. You could also try instructional videos or CDs, which provide guided meditations. Following is a short list of several methods of meditation: Some may surprise you, but meditation is more a matter of what you bring to the practice—patience and a desire to silence the mind—than of what the practice entails.

A meditation can be anything which takes you into silence, both inner and outer, and clears your mind of all thoughts. Try as many methods as you need until you find one—or more—that work for you, and proceed on your journey to the life of your dreams.

You can learn more about using meditation and other methods for creating the life of your dreams here.

Hi, for a while now I’ve been toying with meditation, however just recently I have started to take it more seriously, I will be taking a course in TM and currently I am undergoing the holosync course, so I’m looking forward to this journey, which is the rest of my life. I think going into silence and finding time for yourself may be one of the most benificial things you will ever too. You are sending a powerful neourological message to the brain, you are affirming to yourself that you are important and you deserve your time and space, this will reflect in your outer world.

“The Answer” has really changed my life. Everyone around me day to day can see a difference. That is so exciting!

I started meditating everyday becuase you recomend it in the book, along with visions and then affirmations.

At first, it was hard to meditate and be still for just 5 mins. That was a month ago. Now anything less than 10 mins seems to fly by! I’ve found that closing my eyes, sitting up right, with music playing (ranging from new age, ambient to soundtrack scores) works best for me. I think about my visions and anything that makes me happy. Sometimes if I’m having a hard time getting into it, I’ll look at my screensaver on my computer, which is set to scroll through all of my “vision board” pictures on my computer.

Thanks for everything John! You have really made a HUGE difference in my life! =D

***YOU MUST first surround your self with a GOLDEN or WHITE LIGHT of PROTECTION coming down from heaven.
*** Visulize it covering your whole body as if your in a bubble.***
    WHY!
It keeps anything negative coming in while your in your own world of meditation!

Blessings to all. I hope it helps you by me putting my 2 cents worth in! :)

The No Complaining Rule

The biggest problems plaguing businesses and life today is negativity! A good friend of mine Jon Gordon, has written a new book called “The No Complaining Rule”. Jon, also known as “America’s #1 Energy coach,” is a brilliant speaker, consultant and an international best selling author. This innovative book shows you how to tackle everyday negativity and to turn something negative into a positive! Here are 5 positive things we can do each day instead of complain, from Jon’s new book:

1. Practice Gratitude. Research shows that when we count three blessings a day, we get a measurable boost in happiness that uplifts and energizes us. It’s also physiologically impossible to be stressed and thankful at the same time. Two thoughts cannot occupy our mind at the same time. If you are focusing on gratitude, you can’t be negative. You can also energize and engage your coworkers by letting them know you are grateful for them and their work.

2. Praise Others. Instead of complaining about what others are doing wrong, start focusing on what they are doing right. Praise them and watch as they create more success as a result. Of course, point out their mistakes so they can learn and grow, but make sure you give three times as much praise as criticism.

3. Focus on Success. Start a success journal. Each night before you go to bed, write down the one great thing about your day. The one great conversation, accomplishment, or win that you are most proud of. Focus on your success, and you’ll look forward to creating more success tomorrow.

4. Let Go. Focus on the things that you have the power to change, and let go of the things that are beyond your control. You’ll be amazed that when you stop trying to control everything, it all somehow works out.

5. Pray and Meditate. Scientific research shows that these daily practices reduce stress; boost positive energy; and promote health, vitality, and longevity. When you are faced with the urge to complain or you are feeling stressed to the max, stop, be still, plug-in to the ultimate power, and recharge.

Just imagine…

Just imagine… if you could have it all, what would you do and be in your life?

What would you buy, and what would you give?
Whose counsel would you seek?
Where would you go, and what feats would you dare to accomplish?

Just imagine your life, lived without limits.

Create your own vision, one that utilizes your own talents. Every person can create a masterpiece just being themselves. Most people just haven’t tapped into their own greatness. They hate their jobs, don’t get along with their spouse, but stay where they are. What if it didn’t have to be that way?

Would you like to wake up in the morning and feel like you get to, instead of have to, go to work? What if you could have a great relationship? Would you like to have it all—money, health, spiritual connection, a job you love, and great relationships with everyone around you? And balance between each of those areas so you can really enjoy your life? Of course you would.

So are you ready to create a vision of possibility for your own life? Then let’s get to it!

You cannot focus on problems or challenges in your life. Instead, describe your life as if you were waving a magic wand and it would instantly be the way you wanted it. The more specific you are the better.

When you set the perfect life vision, everything must be clear and precise, exactly articulated—even the look and feel. The universe operates by exact and precise laws, as you now know, so there’s no room for ambiguity. Put your answers in the present tense, avoid any words of negativity, and concern yourself only with what you want, not how to get it. Refer back to visions as much as you need.

Don’t shortchange yourself by writing only what you think you can become or have—the universe is infinite in supply, so stretch yourself and go for your heart’s desire.

John

    John,
I like what you say. A ship is at sea most of the time. But the captain knows the destination. By following few technical rules along the way, eventually the ship will get there. Always keep the eyes on the target.

Love the idea of releasing limits. So often it is the idea that stops us, not the reality. I am using the no limits concept in my own business and applying it to everything I do. It makes for incredible results and fascinating conversation!
    Bravo!

Thanks John. I agree with your assertions. Most of us are unfortunately conditioned to think inside the square. Much of it comes from the inherent beliefs of our parents, especially those who have lived through less than productive times.

We don’t get that push, guidance and insight to think outside the square and use our own power within. Unless we find people such as yourself who have both the drive and the inclination to help, then the journey is made that much more difficult.

We can all push our boat from the shore in search of the perfect life. However, if we don’t have an oar, a rudder or power to get us to where we want to go, we will spend our time moving in ever decreasing circles.

Once we find the passion, drive and vision to ensure we have all the tools necessary, our journey will be made with purpose and determination and we can have every expectation we will succeed, in spite of the obstacles we face.

We should always look forward with optimism and never back with regret.

    Cheers,

    Kieran

John, as always your comments ring true. We need only to believe in our own inner compass to guide and direct. but ture it it so difficult when we are conditioned to do otherwise. In your book The Answer, you teach the clear ways to recondition our minds to allow our natural compass to guide us once again.
    Thank you.

Yes we need to dream and create, but as you stated we need a vision that we can visualize and concentrate on. “The universe is infinite in supply, so stretch yourself and go for your heart’s desire.” Couldn’t have said it better.

  23. KieranNo Gravatar says:

The wonderful thing about our imagination is the fact that when we truly let go, we have no constraints. We can think any wonderful, warm and endearing thought without fear of rejection or criticism.

Once we learn to like, love, respect and believe in ourselves, we release any hold others may have over us. In this wonderful state, we have the ability to then move our dreams and visions from the sub-conscious to the realm of reality where with application, purpose and dedication, they gather strength and power in a life of their own.

Therefore, anything you can ’see’ in your mind’s eye you can achieve because the only constraints on your success are those you place yourself, through self-limiting thoughts or permitting others to conflict with our innate purpose – to achieve incredible success and abundance.

Each of us is born to greatness – that is an inalienable right. However, many of us remain inhibited by various means and unless we understand the steps necessary to remove the shackles, we will continue to labour under repressive thoughts we have, or pressures we endure as a direct response to the influence of others or our own self-limiting doubts.

When you remove the doubt, you eliminate the fear. Never be afraid of what you might achieve: Instead, fear what you might not.

If we think we can’t, we won’t. However, when we believe we can, we truly will’.

Stay safe and well and believe. You are the greatest asset in your life.

    Imagine the possibilities.
