A video review – and a preview of what’s to come

If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words is a good video worth?

Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to reach many people through various media vehicles, including this blog, my books, films I’ve appeared in, and many radio and television programs.

Just for fun, I’ve assembled links to video of some of the appearances I’ve made. Take a look, and be sure to check out the final one in the list for a sneak peek at the next big media splash I’ll be making, starting next month. It’s going to be big!

My appearance on Larry King

On the Ellen Degeneres Show

On CNN – the Anderson Cooper 360

A sneak peek at my latest project, with my business partner Murray Smith

Thanks for watching!

    Tami,

You are so correct in what you write. One of the major reasons we all see life from a different perspective, is as much to do with our own prejudices, as it is with our expectations.

We see things a certain way, as we attract that view to ourselves. We see positive things on our journey because we wish to. Much of that and just how our view impacts us, lies in our inherent beliefs and our ability to look outside ourselves, without fear of reprisal, ridicule or failure.

Life impacts us in so many ways, it is easy to be sometimes negative about how we believe our life is evolving: Our expectations are quite understandable in their differences one to another, because our life experiences are so different and the mentors and role models we have are also vastly different.

What I get from John might be quite different to the information you receive and the impact of that material on our psyche will also differ markedly. That doesn’t mean that we don’t glean great things from that information: We just take what is important to us and our magnificent journey.

We only received vital information when we are ready to do so. Similarly, that information will only begin to have a profound effect on us and our lives, when we are ready to take that next great step.

Therefore, so many people remain closed to what others might say, because it has the capacity to take them from their comfort zones into unchartered waters. If you do not allow yourself the freedom to do just that, it will have the capacity to become a major and often insurmountable challenge.

Some call that taking a risk: I call it utilising an opportunity.

When we learn to see life through our own eyes and put those plans in place for an individual and very personal future, based upon our own needs, wants and dreams, then we begin to have the strength and courage to evolve. Remember that whilst ever you live your life according to the values of another, you never see the light of personal opportunity nor taste the fruits of your own incredible success.

    Cheers,

    Kieran

A Little Book about a Big Idea

Dear Friends,

Here’s a book that I’ve been dying to tell everyone about: The Go-Giver, by Bob Burg and John David Mann.

Within weeks after its release in January, it was on the Wall Street Journal and BusinessWeek bestseller lists, it hit the top on a dozen different Amazon.com bestseller lists, and was the #1 bestseller on the coveted 8CR (800-CEO-Read) list.

I’m not surprised: it’s truly a life-changing little book, in the great “parable” tradition of The Greatest Salesman in the World and The One Minute Manager. I’m also not surprised at its success because I know one of the authors, John David Mann. In fact, he’s the writer who just worked with Murray and me on our new book that’s coming out in a few months. You’re going to love that book — and you’ll love this one, too. It might even change your life.

But don’t just take my word for it. Here’s a taste of what some other business leaders are saying about this powerful little book:

“Trust is established when you act in the best interests of others. This terrific book wonderfully illuminates this and many other principles of contribution, abundance, service and success. In a style both engaging and insightful, The Go-Giver delivers a very powerful message.” — Stephen M. R. Covey, author of The Speed of Trust

The Go-Giver is what the film The Secret is all about. What a great idea for a book!” — Bob Proctor, author of You Were Born Rich

The Go-Giver hits a bull’s-eye on the subject of success in business and life. I highly recommend this book.” — Dr. Ivan Misner, founder of BNI

“These five simple principles will help you achieve your goals and fulfill your dreams!” — Brian Tracy, author of The Psychology of Achievement

“At the heart of The Go-Giver is a philosophy that will dramatically increase your business, enrich your life, and make an extraordinary mark on the world around you.” — Gary Keller, founder and chairman of the board, Keller Williams Realty, Intl., author of The Millionaire Real Estate Investor

You can order the book (and also download a free copy of Chapter 1) at their web site: http://www.thegogiver.com.

To your Having It All!

Yes, indeed, it’s an outstanding book. I’ve read it and re-read atleast 4 times. I have given away 7 copies to others who are enjoying the same. I work on practicing the principals each day. Since I just completed my tax return today, it looks like it’s working….I owe I owe! =-) Thanks for the recommendation, John. Outstanding message and a quick read (90 minutes if you’re a slow reader like me)

A Snapshot of My Life

Hello Friends,

Recently I was interviewed for a story in Majestic Living magazine about my book Having It All. I’ve been looking forward to sharing this article with you. My favorite part is towards the end, because the reporter did a great job capturing some of my greatest life lessons thus far.

Here’s an excerpt from the beginning of the article:

“Business growth guru John Assaraf earned his nickname “The Street Kid” by repeatedly getting into trouble from a very young age. Family difficulties made it necessary for John to begin his working life at the tender age of eight…”

Check the article out here. I hope that you enjoy this little snapshot of my life!

Living with Intention

My friend Lynne McTaggart, author of the worldwide bestsellers The Field and The Intention Experiment, is running a series of workshops this year that will teach you how to harness the power of intention in your everyday life and become your own master of intention.

These workshops – called ‘Living With Intention‘ – will dig deeper and go further than anything around right now. And they will be underpinned by the type of scientific evidence for which Lynne has become renowned and which is such a feature of her bestselling books.

The first workshop isn’t that far off. It’s being held on the weekend of May 16-18 in Chicago – so if that date works for you, I strongly urge you to be there. Lynne will also be coming to London, Los Angeles, Portland and Boston in the coming months.

The workshops are a synthesis of everything Lynne has learned in her 13 years of studying quantum physics and spirituality. She will provide you with a genuine toolkit of methods for using intention effectively — the right mind and heart state, the best times and places — based on techniques used effectively by master healers, that you can put into immediate effect in every area of your life.

In these workshops you will learn:

No one has made more of a study of the power of intention than Lynne McTaggart. Her workshops offers a unique mix of science-based training to show you how to take intention into your life, so that you can live, work and love in alignment and with intention.

I really urge you not to miss her unique training program, which will offer you a blueprint for conscious living.

If you book now, you can claim an 18 percent ‘early bird’ discount. To find out more about the workshops – and access a range of free guides on intention written by Lynne – please go to:

I am asking God to make the funds available for this trip, and I am grateful that he will answer those prayers, and provide a way for me to go to the Los Angeles session, after it is over, I will definitely post about it on my own blog.

“When you live with intention, or you intend to do something, chances are YOU will meet your intent”

When you do “this” especially in place of setting goals, once again, the power of intention is overwhelming!

    The possibilities, become endless!

John, I’ve always enjoyed your teachings Great blog! Just want to point out that is important to remember that God is the one that enables us to achieve our successes and we have to give the credit to him. On Deuteronomy 8, 17-18 it says:

When you become successful, don’t say, ” I’m rich, and I’ve earned it all myself.” Instead, remember that the LORD your God gives you the strength to make a living. That’s how he keeps the promise he made to your ancestors.

    Many blessings to all,
